DUI Crash: Woman, 22, Charged After Hitting I-95 Traffic Cones In Fairfield, Police Say

A local woman has been accused of driving under the influence after police say she crashed into cones on a stretch of northbound I-95 in Connecticut.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, June 4 in the town of Fairfield.

The right lane was closed near Exit 22 due to an earlier crash, Connecticut State Police said,

The woman, Allison Michelle Soto, age 22, of Trumbull, was stopped after troopers say she hit the cones after failing to move over.

Field sobriety tests were administered after the troopers observed glossy, bloodshot eyes, said police.

She was charged with:

  • Operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs,
  • Failure to slow/move over for emergency vehicles,
  • Failure to maintain proper lane.

She was released on a $500 bond and is due to appear in court in Bridgeport on Tuesday, June 20.
